It's been years since I've been to a PW. I enjoyed this one just fine. The portions aren't large for the price but it's not bad.

This new Pei Wei is located in the Renaissance Plaza, adjacent to the Starbucks, in Altamonte Springs. YAY!!!!!!! Finally another Pei Wei in the Orlando area. This location is super close to my office, so I can see myself here quite a bit for a well cooked, quick bite. Ordered take out, was a very quick process on the phone, my order was immediately taken, confirmed and I was out the office door to sit in lunch traffic to get my goodies. I arrived to a packed restaurant and lines for both the dining in and the take out check out. Restaurant looks to be slightly larger than the Colonial location, but that could just be the oblong layout. Take out line was quick, my order was again confirmed (no scallions, brown rice) and I had my meal in hand. The line at the dine in line had cleared very quickly and people were off to get seated. Back at the office- Crab rangoon were outstanding, better than the last batch that I had at the Colonial location. Nice amount of filling and made with lots of Crab, not Krab or cream cheese with scallions and water chestnuts. Dipping sauces were served on the side, plenty for my order. Dynamite shrimp were cooked well, good amount shrimp, veggies and of spicy sauce. Fluffy brown rice and the fresh lime wedge completed the well packed meal. No scallions, per request, I was happy. Food was prepared well, staff was friendly and quick. This is going to be a busy lunch time spot, I'd plan on arriving a bit before noon for you best chance at seating.

My wife and I were super excited to finally have a Pei Wei open that is closer than the one off of Colonial. We waited a few days after opening to ensure that some of the kinks would be worked out, and for the most part, it appears that they have been. This location is rather small, and visiting there during lunch, and then dinner on another night, both times we had to wait approximately 5 minutes to be seated. This was not a major inconvenience, just a surprise. The food was cooked well, although my wife's Pad Thai was a bit saucier than usual. The outside seating is nice, and the wait staff was very courteous throughout our visit, offering to refill drinks, get more napkins, etc. They were also very quick to clean off tables. The soda machines here are new to me, and provide a really neat way to mix different flavors. These machines are all touch screen, and they have a vast selection of coke and Dr. Pepper products to choose from, as well as flavored water. In the menus, you can select to flavor your coke with anything from orange and lime, to vanilla. Tons of possibilities here, it really was added value to the experience. I'm sure the overabundance in help will dwindle some, as several people there appeared to be district management types, but the service so far has been fantastic.

OK.....IM SUPER PICKY about chinese food; however, my co-worker talked about how great it was.... intially, I was like if it is anything close to panda express....ill pass. She insisted ...and to my surprise.....yummmm yummm... If you have never been ..dont get overwhelmed when you walk in....I did because when I am trying new places I dont like to feel rushed (but this is a somewhat fast food place and people were behind me..) Regardless of all I was feeling the young lady at the front was super patient and she helped me figure out what I wanted while answering 100000000000 questions that I had. I ended up choosing chicken as my meat and kung pao sauce....and "score"....oh... and instead of white rice I paid an up charge of 99 cents for noodles. There is an upcharge of 99 cents for fried rice and noodles. keep in mind the noodles dont have sauce (which i thought they would be a lo mein type of side but it was plain noodles that they use for lo mein....there is a difference....) however, I was please...the nice young lady at the front gave me extra sauce because I was trying to figure out if I wanted a lunch portion which is 2oz of meat or a dinner portion which is 4oz. I was starving but not to the point that I wanted to feel stuffed and uncomfortable. So the words she used sold me....." get the dinner portion...it has great reheat value". Advertisement at its best! This girl needs a promotion to sales/advertisment or something....I am so upset that I cannot remember her name...But keep that in mind folks.... "reheat value". I she was not wrong!!! Just reheated for lunch and it was even better. So back the the food. The menu is easy but you have options so first choose a meat ( chicken, shrimp, steak...) and then a sauce. It comes with brown or white rice and like i mentioned before you can upgrade/change for 99 cents. The menu also dictated which sauces were hot and you have to option of making any sauce hot upon your request...(they make everything to order... :) All in all....I will return...quick good chinese food. super clean restaurant. :)

ok food, ok service..come on is Pei Wei! What else do you expect. I really do not understand people pouring their heart on a review, is Yelp not therapy. If it was up to me I would go to the one by UCF, the food is much tastier!

Fresh, Fast, AND Cheap apparently does exist. New favorite place. A newbie getting acquainted with several confusing subtleties with menu offerings and options, and the waiter today seemed a little impatient. But overall taste far outweighed that awkwardness. Plus you get to be extra lazy at this so called "casual" place as the unofficial waiter brings your food and clears your table when done. The taste, portions and speed make this a great value overall for a certain return visit soon.

I agree with the other reviewer. This place is a quick casual place, no servers just food runners. You get your own drink. I love this place great food. If you want servers go to PF Changs (the parent restaurant of this place) I always get a plate full and its always pretty clean and up beat inside. Love the layout with the demo kitchen. Love a quick lunch here, no tipping in and out and a great hot asian meal.

This is the casual dining equivalent of P.F. Changs. They are owned by the same company and have almost the same menu. The food is pretty good but the dining experience is nothing fancy. They offer basic counter service but there's always a swarm of employees running around if you need anything. I've made this my Chinese pick-up joint of choice. I'm not really sure how "authentic" the food is but either way it tastes pretty good. The staff is always great and the restaurant always seems to be clean. Best yet, they keep the price down and keep me coming back for more.

The good news -- love the food at every Pei Wei at which I've eaten -- from Orlando to Eden Prairie, Minn. Love that they have brown rice, steamed vegetables and the option of stock velvet (a lighter fare option with less fat) for their chicken. This is an offshoot of P.F. Chang's, as such, they also offer those yummy, low-fat chicken and lettuce wraps. The decor if you choose to stay and dine versus takeout is contemporary and comfortable. A huge plus is that if you're dining in and want to take home leftovers, they have stacked takeout boxes and fortune cookies available by the takeout silverware and napkins that you can easily access. Nice touch, Pei Wei! The food is the star. The service -- at this particular location -- not so much. Hence, the three stars. Unfortunately, this location is closest to where I live. I was initially excited when it opened, but have been disappointed in the service. I've mostly done take-out and if they ever get the order right, I will look up into the sky and see the pork from their menu flying. I have learned to always check the order. The larger issue is is that there is always something missing. So you're then waiting additional time while they cook up that missing item. And then the other food is getting cold (or soggy, as in the case of egg rolls). I wouldn't make this the location to try your first Pei Wei. Try another that has better service and is more organized. Like I said, never ever have had any issues at any location other than this one and would give five stars to the Fashion Square/Colonial Drive and Sandlake Rd. locations in Orlando and the one in Eden Prairie, Minn. Definitely give Pei Wei a try!!

I have made 2 trips here, one for dine in and one take out and had the same great experience both times. My first experience was dine in and I think I got there at a good time because we were seated promptly. Next time was take out and it was quite crowded even at 4:30 on a Wed. Foodwise, everything is very good but I wouldn't prop it over local landmarks like Eastern Pearl and Imperial Dynasty. Personally, I thought the Wonton Soup was very tasty and distinctive. Meal-based selections are limited but if you are savvy, you can compile an enjoyable combo for yourself. The flip side is everything is quite reasonably priced and the unique recipes (tastewise) pushes Pei Wei above most local Chinese takeaways when you compare like products. Portions are appropriate, but not large and everything is helpfully bagged and packaged to replicate the in store experience much as possible. ps...I would mention the increasingly popular pair of Coke Freestyle machines but I'm the douchebag that voluntarily got Seltzer water out of it...

This place is always dirty with being so small you'd think they could bus the three dirty tables in time for guests... Also they don't even clean the booth/chair they just wipe the table down with a wet towel. I used to love coming here but I feel like the more I come the worse it gets. The appetizers we got were half cooked. And four out of five forks we tried to grab had rice and food still stuck in them. The bathroom had wet floors and paper all over the place... Just an overall dirty place. Won't be returning though it's one of the closer places to eat around here.

This location is new, so I had my first experience at this spot (thought I'm a regular at another location). I placed a pick-up order, and it was ready well ahead of the estimated time. The order was accurate, and they even put to-go gluten-free soy packets in the bag since I ordered a GF dish, and they provided both chopsticks and regular utensils. Of course the food was delicious as well which you can always expect from this chain.

I have been to this Pei Wei location with my best friend a couple of times, since it's one of our favorite restaurants and the Altamonte location is close and convenient to us. The last couple of times that we have been here, the staff seems to get very mixed up with the delivery of our orders. We normally order and pay separately, and are handed one number to place on the table. Pretty consistently, my friend is brought her food, the server takes the number, and when it comes time for my food to arrive, the server walks around the establishment at least twice trying to find out where to bring the food, and I end up calling them over to let them know that it's mine. Aside from that, the last few times we've been here, the food has been lackluster. It's always a good temperature, nice and hot, but the quality is nothing to write home about. Last time I was here, there was a very small fire in one of the pans in the kitchen, and I'm fairly certain it was my tofu that was sacrificed in that incident, because by the time it came, it was hard as a rock. My friend and I have agreed that we will not be returning to this location.

Found a raw/completely uncooked piece of chicken in the chicken lettuce wrap chicken. The raw piece of chicken was not the same size as the chicken used for the chicken lettuce wrap. It was a bigger piece. Spoke with the manager and he said that the lettuce chicken wrap chicken is cooked in the mornings. I ordered at 8 pm. So how does a raw piece of chicken end up mixed in with cooked chicken?????

We generally visit Pei-Wei weekly. Only one time was a mistake made, and it was remedied very quickly. The food is always terrific. Two in my party always order the same thing; two others change it up every time. We have never been disappointed in our food. Service has always been kind and attentive. The new rewards program has been very effective for my family so far. We strongly recommend dining at Pei-Wei.

A little disappointed with the customer service. It seems that the person bringing the is only allowed to repeat you order once it is put on the table. There was no, "hello" or "enjoy your meal." The cashier sounded like a robot. No welcome words or eye contact. My server looked like a sumo wrestler just finished a match. He walked around looking defeated. He didn't even say hello. He probably didn't want to be there. It seems hard to believe you still have businesses that don't insist on their enployees making their guests feel welcomed. Competition is fierce and only those that continually work on keeping people coming in are the ones who have staying power. Peace.

I decided to try the new sushi rolls today and was utterly disappointed. My wife and I have eaten here for all of the Asian dishes and have never been upset with any decision we made. The spicy tuna roll I had today was not even edible. The rice was hard and the seafood was odd colored. The whole roll was not even served at a cold/hot temperature just room temperature. I took one bite and threw the rest of the roll. Such a shame Pei Wei.

  • Debi W.

We were served pork rolls on a plate in a puddle of cold grease from the fryer--no apology from the management, no acknowledgement of the poor quality of food that left the kitchen. Makes me afraid of what else they let slip by in regards to quality and cleanliness. We won't be back.

Pretty good when you want some fast casual Chinese food. I love that they have a Freestyle soda machine and hot chili paste for a condiment. A side of stir fried green beans is pretty good. Better when undercooked at little, but nice flavor. The pork egg rolls are a nice side too. Overall, I find the menu a bit confusing. Not too sure about their sauces. It's like a whole bunch of Asian flavors just mixed together and pared down so that nothing is very authentic or too pungently offensive. The dominate sauce flavors are really sweet with salty soy sauce undertones. I'm never sure if it's Chinese, Thai, or some other Asian flavor they are trying to replicate. I like the Mongolian Shrimp with a side of white rice, comfort food for sure. Pei Wei Is okay when you want Chinese food but don't really want to commit to a specific cuisine flavor.

I was thinking getting the same quality as Pf Chang. What a disillusion! Too much soy sauce. Like chineese was about soy sauce!! So disappointed!

They're obviously unable to handle the amount of customers visiting the establishment. While I commend the General Manager on working besides his staff on the line, doing so severely limits the ability of the GM to manage the live operations of the restaurant. I will do my part in lessening the stress of this restaurant by visiting other establishments in the area. When I can go to another local restaurant which is equal to Pei Wei but offers far better customer service in a less stressful environment, I see little reason to fund one that is just doing enough.

I was pleasantly surprised by Pei Wei. I'm usually not a fan of Chinese food, but this was so delicious! I got the small sesame chicken bowl with fried rice, and it was very very good. Even though I got a small, it was a LOT of food. Everything tasted good and fresh. I will definitely be eating here again, yum!

I'm very picky and nervous about trying new things but my boyfriend loves this place so I decided to give it a try. I got the friend rice with steak, and they were more than happy with not butting anything in it lol it was delicious. they have the coke freestyle machine so I got ginger ale which is my favorite soda. the only negative i have is they didn't have salt and pepper I had to ask for some and they got me a dish of some from the back, but it wasn't bad. the service was great and very friendly. we went close to closing and they gave me a free snicker doodle cookie which was delicious

FOOD POISONING! Had a dinner date on Saturday night it is 3:30 pm on MONDAY and I'm still laying low. I was RUNNING for the bathroom 20 minutes after dinner, haven't been feeling right ever since. will not be going back for more food. Dynamic of restaurant was weird, walked in and didn't know what to do or where to order. No one greeted us or took notice to us. Food was tasty but food poisoning is not worth it. I will be calling the Altamonte location when I return to good health to let them know that some of their food has gone bad. What a shame, seemed like a really cool place to be

  • Abraham R.

The food was horrible first off. I asked for orange chicken and got this nasty chicken that was drenched in some type of sauce that didn't taste like orange chicken at all. My girlfriend got the wrong type of chicken than what she had asked for. The server wasn't polite at all, I did not feel welcome. The managers do not know how to deal with customers. They were very rude and laughed at the table next to us. The restaurant got their order wrong and when confronted about it, the manager just told them that there was nothing he could do. Never going back to this place. If I could put no stars I would.

Well, this was our first time at this chain restraunt. There were several people on line on a Sunday afternoon, but we reached the register pretty quick. Providing paper menus at the door was good and we were ready to order ( even though overwhelmed by the 1, 2, 3 sections). I ordered orange spicy steak with brown rice. Husband ordered a different style of steak with rice. Didn't opt for vegan or gluten free cause choices seemed healthy. I could not understand why the food tasted soooooo syrupy. Especially when I'd ordered a dish which from the menu, I believed would be spicy. I thought we were eating healthy until we got back to the hotel, and went to the Pei Wei website and looked up the calories! Almost 1500 calories for mine. The sugar content upwards of 30 grams. My husband is diabetic and his food was even sweeter thank mine. Both dishes loaded with fat, carbs and a BOX of sodium. It seems like there is no difference in eating at this place or eating the PF Chang frozen foods. Crazy ... high fat, sugar, sodium ect... Utterly negates any intent to eat healthy. The other thing was that except for the actual pieces of meat, EVERYTHING was cold. Veg and the rice...all cold.

Well, best to avoid this place. The overworked kitchen could care less about getting orders right. Our son finally received his food about 40 minutes into the service. The manager wouldn't even come out to talk with us because she was "too busy in the kitchen." Whatever. Won't be back. The food (when we got it) wasn't very good either.

I went to this restaurant yesterday night , good experience overall , The lettuce wraps are very good and tasty , the Mongolian beef was ok , my husband and daughter ask for a couple of sushi rolls they were just ok however very small . We liked it so far

  • Emily H.

I came with a big family group, so we were able to try most of the menu. Everything was sweet like they dumped a bucket of sugar in it. The flavors would have been nice had that extra kilo of sugar not been there. The spicy Pei Wei was not spicy in the slightest. The sesame chicken had a nice texture but was explosively sweet. The kung pao, advertised to us as the least sweet thing on the menu (and suggested to my diabetic aunt as being low glycemic index) was still pretty sweet, and also not spicy. At least we could get brown rice instead of white. Expect big crowds and diabetes from the sauces. Eat here if you have no interest in eating anything that remotely resembles Chinese food, white folks.

This is a great place to go for casual asian food. You can order your meat to be cooked in different styles which is great. They also added a pretty decent selection of sushi.

First time in this one or any other one we had a great experience I like the casual surroundings the staff was friendly and the place was super clean. We ordered pork egg rolls, chicken lettuce wraps and shrimp friend rice same as we usually order at PF Changs if it's informal you want and your like this type of food this is the place to go I won't drive to the mall to PF Changs any longer unless it's for dinner and drinks this fixes the craving. No doubt we will return:-)

Very disappointed today. Went for lunch. I arrived at 11:36am, ordered my chicken pad thai (light sauce, no peanuts) and I didn't receive my order until 12:07pm. Why? The order was done wrong by the cook which meant it needed to be redone (I saw the interaction from the server to the cook before it ever made its way to me when she repeated it twice that I'd ordered it without peanuts). I've ordered it like this on various occasions and they're still usually good at getting it right. Due to time restrains, I had a few bites and then had to race back to work with my lunch packed up. And by the way, it wasn't light on the sauce as I'd asked.

  • Amanda W.

I got take out from here for lunch. I ordered the Mongolian Tofu and Vegetables bowl. As always, their dish had just the right amount of each vegetable and balanced perfectly with the tofu. All cooked deliciously. Not full of all the crappy filler veggies and little of the main ingredient like a lot of Asian restaurants do. I also got brown rice to go with them. I was only able to eat half, because it was so filling. I was irritated that they gave me no utensils or sauces, I had to ask for them. Had I not I would have gotten back to work with no way to eat my food.

This place seems to really have something figured out. They are friendly, fast and super efficient. We have yet to be disappointed by food or service. Seems a lot more places should find out what they are doing to run so smoothly even when they are slammed busy all the time!

  • Sara G.

In a word disappointed. Let me preface that I am a big fan of both Pei Wei and of PF Changs. That said, the non-salad gluten free options were 2: sweet/sour or spicy chicken. No gluten free lettuce wraps, fried rice or many other simple dishes. Main Problem: The lobby space has awkward and inadequate seating. If you go during a high traffic time and have a party of 4 or more - good luck getting a seat indoors. Outdoor seating can be available but as you know Orlando can get very hot and their outdoor seating is surrounded by concrete, blacktop, car exhaust, and crazy drivers... :(

Not that impressed with this location. I ordered takeout (Pad-Thai) and was told it would take 10 minutes, 22 minutes later my order was ready. I could have been served at PF Changs quicker. I've eaten at other locations and always order the Pad-Thai and it's always delicious but this serving had an odd taste, not a bad or rotten taste it was as if there was an ingredient missing. The portion size was large with lots of chicken it just had that odd taste.

Very tasty. Quoted 15-20 only 10 min max for carryout. Got the steak teriyaki and the chk caramel. Loved the steak. The caramel was too spicy for me but the kids loved it. came with a cold carrot, cucc salad with peppers. Very tasty.

This place is a miniature version of PF CHANG'S (which I love) and it is quick and easy to get service. My favorite dish is Mongolian Beef with brown rice. Yum! I can't think of much which is wrong with this place. Free refills on drinks. Good food. Quick service. Great prices. Highly recommend them! 4/5/13 *edit* Just went to the Altamonte Springs location and all of our dishes were EXTREMELY salty. We had to wipe off the excessive sauce, it was horrible. Plus it took forever to get my daughter's chicken dish out (which tasted like shrimp). Lowering their rate from 4 stars to 2 stars.

  • Logan W.

It's a self serve/ fast casual restaurant, once you realize that it all makes sense. During peak hours lunch and dinner expect to wait a short while in a line. They do offer take out, but expect a line there as well. The place is clean and organized, and we love sitting at the bar watching the cooks. Staff was attentive to our needs, even while they were extremely busy, they stopped a few times to see if we needed anything. Good food, cool place.

  • Elsie H.

This quality of food and service at this Pei Wei has seriously deteriorated. I had the misfortune of eating lunch at this restaurant today. The silverware is kept near the drink machines in containers that everyone reaches into and if that is not unsanitary enough, the utensils had food still stuck to them. There were no napkins, someone had put paper towels out. The women's bathroom was locked and stayed that way through our whole visit. I know this because my little girl needed to use the restroom. When we left we suggested to the manager that he should check the restroom just to make sure that no one had passed away in there. To top it all off we spent 27$ for our meals and feel that we were ripped off. The quality of food is bad. The service is bad. The place is dirty and it is expensive.

  • Longwood R.

The food is usually pretty good...same for the soups. But the main problem here is the service. If you go with anyone do not plan on getting your food at the same time. This is a constant problem for this place...wife will get her soup but I will be waiting another 10 minutes. Then her food might come and I still haven't gotten my soup. I see this going on at every table. This should not be an issue at any restaurant. Asking no less than 2 servers and a counter person for my soup it still took a long time. You would think that they'd provide immediate attention to something simple like tat but when they simply don't have any sense of urgency or empowerment. I've also watched as they interact with the cooks and it is as if they are scared to even talk to them to take any corrective actions. Sad. We've gone quite a few times since they opened, this is just something that I don't think will ever be addressed. Sad that we accept this level of service.

One of the least organized restaurant operations I've ever seen. I ordered my food to go and it took an hour for them to realize they hadn't started on my ticket. I wish I had gone elsewhere.

  • Brandi B.

NO, room for my wheelchair inside, Servers NEVER pay attention to me. When I asked to speak with the manager about an issue, first I was told he was, "too busy cooking." After I insisted, he came to our table, halfway through listening to my complaint, he threw a $10. gift card on the table, made a half-hearted apology, didn't do anything to resolve the issue, and left us. Glad he gave me a gift card that I won't use at the Pei Wei HE manages. Didn't get any fortune cookies, either.

If your looking for a quick asian influenced meal Pei Wei is the place for you. They offer many types of asian infused dishes that are easy on the wallet. This Pei Wei in Altamonte ha a nice clean modern asian influenced decor and is quite comfortable. I had the mongolian beef with brown rice and it almost tasted as good as big brother PF Changs mongolian beef. Today was the first time I've eaten here in 8 years and its still hits the spot. Good food, good value. Pei Wei.

  • Bob D.

I like the idea and ambience, but don't know what all the fuss is about. Seems like most of the food has sugar in the sauces. Don't plan to get a seat unless you go at some off hour. Meh.

My husband and I lived downtown a couple of years ago and he became a fan of Pei Wei. But now that we live outside of Maitland, driving to the Colonial location is just not an option most of the time. Then the funniest thing happened the other night. We wanted to go out to eat and were driving through Altamonte Springs. He says that he wants Pei Wei and should we just drive over there? I say... "I just don't know why there isn't another Pei Wei already.. Altamonte is the perfect place for one." Then I randomly search for Pei Wei on Yelp, just for kicks, and couldn't believe my eyes. This Pei Wei is awesome and we were just in shock. His wish came true. :) The interior of the place looks amazing, they have the fancy soda machines, the employees are so nice, the food is great, and oh my goodness. The COOKIES. Get the chocolate chip cookies.

The food was ok, but the atmosphere a train wreck. I asked for chicken with no sauce for my 2 year old. I was brought chicken and I even clarified to the food runner if this was "chicken without the sauce". His answer was yes. When a manager (what a joke) brought me the real chicken I ordered...I explained to him I thought that was what I ordered!. He said "I can look right at that chicken and tell you there is sauce on it". Then he continued to insult me by saying that I could keep the old chicken; that I didn't have to pay for it. Not the point... it was for my 2 year old. I won't be back.

Tried it again and more of the same. The food was inconsistent and instead of paying attention to making food the cooks were all goofing around. The manager on duty was nice and polite, but doing nothing to stop the horseplay.

Take out is a nightmare...I will NEVER return. The take out door cuts into the front of the line waiting to be seated. This means the people waiting get pissed off at you for following the directions. There is 1 cashier with bad attitude who works slowly and has no care in the world that a fight is ready to break out in line because you walked into the takeout line and the other customers think you are cutting the line. Prices have gone up yet again, portions have gotten smaller and service at this location is abysmal at best. STAY AWAY.

This place was pretty good. My wife and I were looking for a new fast place that was healthy and this place was great. If you like flavors then you will like this but if your a meat and cheese person this is not for you

I've been to this location twice: once the weekend it opened and for the second time yesterday. I really enjoy the food (I get the pad thai every time) but the service is a bit lacking. I realize they haven't been open long and will give them slack for that. However this is what I witnessed: The first time I went it was extremely busy even though it was 3pm. My friends and I waited in a line that went around the building and when we finally got in realized I wasn't going to be able to get past all the people to the line so I bee-lined for the nearest table. The only table I saw was way in the back in front of the soda machines. The majority of the seating is small booths which honestly really sucks for anyone in a wheelchair (such as myself). Because I wasn't able to fit in the line, I approached a manager to ask if I could just order off a menu to a waitress and he was extremely accommodating. He brought me the last menu they had and pushed the table back from the machines so I had more room. The food came out quick, and the young woman who served us was very attentive. All in all I had a really pleasant experience. This is why I came back yesterday. Now, my experience yesterday wasn't as glowing. It was thankfully not as busy so I was able to get to the cashier and order. I again sat in the table in the back. After getting my pad thai, I tried to flag someone down for a lemon for my water... never happened. Every person I tried to signal, immediately either ignored me or refused to look in my direction. This is amusing because at one point during our meal, one of the staff had the kitchen door open while having a loud conversation about how happy he was to get off shift. I've never had such a difficult time trying to ask for lemon. No one came by to clear plates so we had to maneuver around 8 plates (4 people) on a small table. I would go back because the food is good but I am definitely not impressed with the waitstaff. I say go there for good food, but don't expect anything from the waitstaff.

Awesome! Sooo happy there is a Pei Wei near out place now! The staff were EXTREMELY friendly and accommodating! The restaurant was very clean and the cashiers were quick, organized and friendly. The food was delivered fast and was delicious! And they have a Remix soda machine which is fun and gives you a TON of choices for your drink (cherry/vanilla Dr. Pepper!) . This wil def. be our new location!

Manager doesn't know how to take care of customers . I order the mango roll and I couldn't taste the mango, so I asked to exchange for a different plate , I'm waiting for my dish and the manager sends me my money back and expect me to go an order again ... I already told him what I wanted and he expect me to make anew line .!!!

This pei Wei is pretty good I must say. They have made mistakes on my order and correct them everytime. It's usually very busy in there and when my table was dirty from the sheer amount of turn around a gentleman cleaned it for me with a hustle before I even sat down.

Pei Wei offers a great variety of Asian foods, including noodle & rice bowls and salads. It's a great alternative to fast food without having to pay for sit-down service. For this particular location, it gets very busy around the typical lunch hours, 7 days a week. Make sure you get there early or after regular lunch if you don't want to wait too long. However, even when it's busy they get through lines pretty quickly. This location has the Freestyle Coca-Cola machine. You can mix & match cool soda flavors; it's a lot of fun!

My wife and I had dinner here last night. Very friendly, fast service and the food was fresh. We shared edamame and shrimp pad thai. The staff went above and beyond.

I'm so glad to finally have a Pei Wei on the north side of town! This location is smaller than others I have been to but it is clean, modern and sleek inside. The booths are big and comfy. I love that I can get a PF Chang's type meal without the cost or the waiting. Order at the front counter then take your number to your table. Food is brought out fairly quickly. We ordered the crab wonton app and I got the honey seared shrimp. They even brought out my son's meal first so he could get started eating right away. The food is solidly decent, for a chain/fast food type place. I love their perfectly cooked brown rice. All cooked to order so it was piping hot when it arrived. They even have one of those neat Coke Freestyle machines (yeah, I'm easily amused). Service was excellent- the girl working the room must have checked on us 3-4 times while we ate. She was quick bringing extra napkins, utensils and a to go box. Great experience that I look forward to repating. FYI... Pei Wei is in the Uptown Altamonte area just in front of Fleet Feet.

I've been here a couple of times and I'm not a huge fan. The restaurant itself is very clean and classy. I love the vibe and way it is set up. The food is alright. I've tried a couple of different things and I haven't really found anything that I considered good. It's sweet but bland at the same time. Everything is well prepared with great service, I'm just really not a fan of the food. Maybe it's just me, because my friends all rave about the food and I'm just kind of 'meh' about it.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
